• This intermediate qualification will prepare you with the essential skills to become a Carer in the health and social care sector. The course will cover the role of a health and social care worker; including introductions to duty of care, health and safety, person centred care, safeguarding & protection, equality & diversity, confidentiality and personal development. There are optional units available to tailor your course towards mental health, dementia or learning difficulties • You will be assigned a qualified training advisor, where learning will be undertaken by mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, group sessions, on/off the job learning and mentor support • The course will be assessed via a range of methods which could include direct observations in the workplace, written/electronic portfolio, guided discussions and assignments • There would be opportunities to progress onto a Level 3 Diploma • This course could lead onto a full time role as a care worker within residential care homes, caring in the community or Primary Care Environments. As well as other roles such as a Nanny, Childcare Worker or a Physiotherapist
