• This advanced qualification will enhance your skills within the role of a Carer. The course will cover the role of a Health and Social Care Worker, including principles for implementing and promoting duty of care, health and safety, person centred care, safeguarding & protection, equality & diversity, confidentiality and personal development. There are optional units available to tailor your course to further develop your knowledge in mental health, dementia and learning difficulties • You will be assigned a qualified training advisor, where learning will be undertaken by mixture of 1 to 1 sessions, group sessions, on/off the job learning and mentor support, as well as opportunities to supervise others • The course will be assessed via a range of methods which could include direct observations in the workplace, written/electronic portfolio, guided discussions and assignments • There would be opportunities to progress onto a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or qualifications within Team Leading, Management or Further Education • This course could lead onto role as a Senior Care Worker within residential care homes, caring in the community or Primary Care Environments. As well as other roles, including a Paramedic, Nurse, Midwife or Dental Practitioner
