This is the first of a suite of qualifications leading towards QTLS (Qualified Teacher Learning Sector). It is aimed at those people who are perhaps already teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, and who now have to gain recognised teaching qualifications, or at those people who are perhaps investigating the possibility of working in the sector. The qualification has been designed to provide a stepping stone to a qualification which will enable a teacher to gain either ATLS (Associate Teacher) or QTLS (Full Teacher Role) Course topics: -role, responsibilities and boundaries of the teaching role -appropriate teaching and learning approaches in specialist area -session planning -delivering inclusive sessions -motivating learners -different assessment methods -record keeping
