There are no formal requirements although students would need a reasonable basic knowledge of vocabulary. This should be equivalent to a term's part time study of the language. The topics covered will include realistic practical situations such as: Holidays Free Time Personal Details Health Problems Food and Drink Shopping Travel Arrangements The course will cover present, past and future tenses and other grammatical structures. The course includes grammar study as well as practical speaking, listening, reading and writing skills. The course will focus on everyday situations which the traveller abroad is likely to encounter. The course is designed for those with a fair knowledge of the language. It is aimed at students who wish to follow a structured course in order to improve their vocabulary communicative skills and use of tenses.
