How do you cope with stress? If you generally cope well, you can probably help others to deal with it more effectively too. Do you know someone who suffers from depression, is dealing with an addiction or substance abuse, recovering from a painful divorce or bereavement? Many of these situations are very common and people struggle to cope with them. You could help them. This 1 day course will introduce you to: Counselling theory Helping strategies Listening skills Avoiding prejudices and stereotyping The effect of your own thoughts and feelings Your role as a counsellor Empowering individuals to solve their own problems This course is for complete beginners and is designed for anyone who wishes to improve their knowledge and skills to add to their own natural qualities of objectiveness and empathy in guiding counselling clients through difficult situations.
