Units studied include: fitness testing and training, practical sport, anatomy and physiology for sport, injury in sport, sports development, psychology for sports performance, development of personal fitness and effects of exercise on the body systems. This course centres on the learner applying sport in both a theoretical and practical environment. You will learn about human performance in sport and how sport is provided by the various agencies in the UK. You will be able to participate and evaluate your sporting performance, whilst also being able to identify and analyse sporting industries. In addition, students will get the opportunity to gain a HSE recognised First Aid qualification and complete the Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership.BTEC Level 3 Diploma/Extended Diploma or employment.All full time learners will undertake at least one additional qualification that will enhance their study skills and employability.
