To develop skills of how to draw and paint portraits. An expressive and free approach is encouraged working on a large A1 format to produce strong imagery. Life drawing students who have less experience in drawing faces may find this particularly beneficial. What topics will I cover? Basic drawing and painting techniques. These include measuring, composition, mark making, colour theory and how to apply it to a portrait using colour harmonies and contrasts.
