Enterprise Advanced Apprenticeship

UPDATED 20150212 15:22:27

Dependent on the size of organisation the role of the apprentice will vary, but it is anticipated that in smaller organisations the apprentice will work closely with a key decision maker whilst in larger organisations the apprentice will work with project teams, or within business development, or alongside those involved in change management or research and development. Apprentices will be working within an organisation that is looking for innovation, encourages new ideas or working practices, and expects apprentices to be enterprising employees or entrepreneurs who are ready to bring something new to the organisation. Apprentices will spend one day a week at The Sheffield City College developing their entrepreneurial skills and abilities, whilst the remainder of your working week will be spent working with your employer, learning how the organisation operates and gradually contributing to the growth and development of the organisation by applying your entrepreneurial skills. Whilst at college you will be taught by tutors from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy and also real industry experts, who will come into college to pass on their knowledge and experience. You will need passion, energy and enthusiasm, a “can do” attitude able to think creatively and have a positive and determined mind-set. Employers need enterprising employees who will make a difference.
