The Level 3 Poultry Production Apprenticeship is ideally suited for people who have an array of experience within the industry and that are working at a supervisory level, such as assistant manager or manager. An Apprenticeship in Poultry Production provides individuals with a nationally recognised, City & Guilds qualification. The Advanced Apprenticeship is achieved by completing the following City & Guilds qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Work Based Agriculture- Poultry Production (57 Credits) Functional Skills in Maths, English and (unless exempt). Employment Rights & Responsibilities Personal Learning & Thinking Skills The minimum Guided Learning Hours (GLH) for the Poultry Production Advanced Apprenticeship is 462 hours. It is expected that the Apprenticeship will usually last 18 months, but a flexible approach to learning is encouraged. Apprenticeships are open to anyone over the age of 16, whether they have just left school or have been working for a number of years. Applicants need to be legally permitted to work in the EU, employed in a relevant job role and not taking part in any other full-time education. Apprentices who took their GCSEs more than five years ago and did not gain a C grade or above will need to complete Functional Skills. To start an Advanced Apprenticeship programme, you should ideally have achieved GCSEs (grade C or above) or have completed an Intermediate Apprenticeship before.
