A programme for people seeking an engineering qualification within an engineering environment. Training is delivered on a part time basis at In-Comm’s Engineering Academy. The programme covers training and assessment in the following disciplines; Bench Fitting, Turning and Milling. The Apprenticeship offers a number of qualifications with the ultimate goal of achieving an Apprentice Certificate within the Improving Operational Performance Framework. The programme offers employers and learners a flexible approach to training and development in a range of basic broad based engineering disciplines.
Name: Engineering Apprenticeship - PEO Level 2 Qualification title: NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment Initial Assessment Candidate’s would be required to have an initial assessment carried out in order for us to establish their existing levels of knowledge and understanding against pre-requisite criteria within the Framework standards. Assessment against the Standards Training will be delivered then assessment carried out by one of our qualified assessors during the learners off the job training and development at our Engineering Academy. Internal Verification, External Verification, Achievement of Qualification The qualification is monitored and audited both internally and by awarding body external verification. Programme Reviews and Evaluation 12 weekly reviews will be undertaken throughout the programme to ensure that the learner is meeting their targets and making satisfactory progress. All employers are required to take part in the review process. The programme will be conducted by training the individuals through the disciplines of bench fitting, turning and milling. Assessments to confirm learners’ competence will then be conducted at the end of the training period via observations of the learner. Evidence can be gathered through various methods including observation, witness testimony, products, oral and written questions, reports/records and formal examinations.
