This in-depth one year course covers the mix of skills required for a role in Merchandising. The Merchandiser gets involved in the life cycle of a product from concept to shop floor, working with Buyers to advise on best selling lines and colour palettes for development and with Operations to agree stock volumes for production, before moving on to work with Visual Merchandisers to provide information on high performance lines to determine store layout and window displays. They ensure that stock is properly monitored and available, with responsibility for discontinuing underperforming lines and increasing stock of popular products and work across all head office departments.
