This qualification will show that you have the skills needed to keep a care-provision organisation running smoothly with the Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services. This 2-3 year qualification gives you the opportunity to build both your managerial and care skills, allowing you to help more people. It also fulfils the regulatory requirement for those looking to become managers of children's homes or adult residential and domiciliary services. You will choose one of the following six pathways: -Children and Young People's Residential Management (England or Wales) -Children and Young People's Management (England or Wales) -Children and Young People's Advanced Practice (England or Wales and Northern Ireland) -Adults' Residential Management (England or Wales and Northern Ireland) -Adults' Management (England or Wales and Northern Ireland) -Adults' Advanced Practice (England or Wales and Northern Ireland). All the pathways share five core units: -Use and develop systems that promote communication -Promote professional development -Champion equality, diversity and inclusion -Develop health and safety and risk management policies, procedures and practices in health and social care or children and young people's settings -Working in partnership in health and social care, and children and young people's settings. Depending on the pathway you choose, you will complete a certain number of additional core units, as well as a range of optional units.
