Under the Licensing Act 2003, there is a statutory requirement for anyone selling alcohol, or authorising others to sell alcohol, to obtain a qualification that has the accreditation of the Secretary of State. The BIIAB National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders, is such an accredited qualification. The course syllabus includes: Licensing authorities; Personal licences; Alcohol; Unauthorised licensable activities; Police powers; Duties of the personal licence holder; Premises licenses; Operating schedules; Permitted temporary activities; Disorderly conduct on licensed premises; Protection of children; Rights of entry. The training course, course handbook and examination have been developed to ensure that you have the relevant knowledge to enable you to become a responsible and professional licensed retailer.
