What's On The Course? OVer the five weeks of the course, learners will have an introduction to the development of children. The course will cover the development of children from 0-1 year and from 1 - 3 years. Learners will examine play materials and toys which are suitable for different age groups and consider how they can be used with children to encourage different aspects of children's development. The course will look at the range of childcare provisions available in this country. Learners will identify safety products for children 0 - 3 years and consider how they contribute to providing a safe environment. The assessment for this unit will include written description and practical demonstrations. Other methods of assessment will also be used.
