This is a Level 1 Open Awards accredited unit with a credit value of 1 point. It is a knowledge unit which teaches learners how to prepare for an interview, listen and respond effectively during an interview, ask relevant questions and reflect on performance. Accreditation is gained by successful completion of assessment activities.

An initial assessment will take place at induction. Progress and achievement will be shown through lively interactions and debate, group and individual tasks and successful completion of a workbook which meets the unit standards. ICT may be used to capture contributions during group sessions, and subject to agreement with individual learners, may be contributed to the Continuing Education Virtual Learning Environment.
