This Level 1 Award in Building Crafts (Materials) is designed to give a foundation approach to construction qualifications and prepare you to enter the industry in your chosen craft. The key unit in this course is to handle and store construction materials and components, including bagged materials, concrete blocks, wood, plywood, doors and ironmongery. As a result of the course you will: Know how to prepare to handle and store construction materials and components Be able to prepare to handle and store construction materials and components. Progression from this Level 1 Award in Building Crafts (Materials) qualification may be to: 1) further training in the form of a Level 1 Certificate in Building Crafts (Construction), Building Crafts (Finishing), Building Crafts Operations or a Level 1 or Level 2 Construction Diploma 2) employment, together with training, where the outcome could be a Level 1 or Level 2 Construction Diploma and/or a Level 1 or Level 2 (NVQ) Diploma.
