This course will help you to develop basic beauty therapy skills that will help you when you start working. You'll learn practical skills, theory, and gain valuable experience working in the commercial salons and spa on site at Buxton College. You'll be taught by helpful and enthusiastic staff, with a wide range of experience in the beauty industry. You study modules including Providing Facial Skin Care Treatments, Enhance the Appearance of Eyebrows and Eyelashes, Carry out Waxing Services, Provide Manicure Services, Provide Pedicure Services, Provide Make-up Services, Assist with Spa Operations. You will gain an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Beauty Therapy and Functional Skills qualifications in either Maths or English.
