Unit on Employee Rights & Responsibilities Personal Learning & Thinking Skills Setting: Suitable for new or existing senior staff or team leaders. Name: Apprenticeship in Management Level 3 Qualification title: - Qualification type: Apprenticeship Assessment The Level 3 NVQ Certificate in Management is the competence qualification that learners are required to achieve and assessment is work based. Evidence of competence will be by observation of practice, testimony from others and work products. It consists of units reflecting the variety of roles and tasks learners carryout in the workplace. Learners have to complete 4 mandatory units and have a wide choice of optional units. A total of 25 credits need to be achieved minimum of 6 units. The Certificate in Principles of Leadership and Management is the knowledge qualification or technical certificate. It consists of 1 mandatory unit and 5/6 optional units. The units are knowledge based and assessment is by short answer questions or written assignments Functional Skills assesses your application of ICT, english and maths skills. Learners have an initial assessment of their skills and an action plan agreed to improve their skills. Assessment is by written exam in each subject area, exams are 1-2 hours long. English communication also is assessed by observation of a group presentation. ERR is assessed by workbook, short answer questions. PLTS is mapped to the management qualifications and assessed as part of these. Programme Delivery All learners receive one to one assessment in the workplace, arranging meetings with their assessor with line manager approval. The length of programme is 12 months.
