They could be carrying out ITsystem support which may be done on site or via remote access, helping companies set up new networks, installling and configuring new software and hardware to customers specifications. This Apprenticeship framework provides the skills, knowledge and competence required to become an IT, Web or Telecoms Professional in a wide range of job roles such as: IT Technical Support, Web Developer, Telecoms Engineer, Network Planner and Software Tester. What will you be learning? The apprenticeship programme covers a range of practical skills and underpinning knowledge and includes the following components: Communication and Employability Skills Network Fundamentals Componenet Recognition Systems Troubleshooting and repair IT Technical Support IT Fault Diagnosis and Remedy Software installation and upgrade IT Security You will be assessed through a variety of methods. Including, observations, assessments and exams. It includes other qualifications valued by employers such as: Functional skills Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PLTS) These are incorporated in the mandatory units and include skills such as creative thinking, independent enquiry, reflective learning, effective participation, self management and team working.
