BTEC Level 3 Business (Accounting)

This course covers a range of business and accounting subjects. The Diploma is made up of 4 core units and 5 other accounting/business units. The Diploma yields between 70 and 90 UCAS points depending on the overall grade achieved. The Diploma is completed within 1 year. Progression from the first year to the second year (AAT Level 3 Diploma Accounting) will be dependant on attaining some grades above a pass in some units and an ability to study at the required level independently. The 4 mandatory business units include: - The Business Environment - Business Resources - Introduction to Marketing - Business Communication In addition to the above, students will study 4 additional accounting units: - Business Accounting - Financial Accounting - Management Accounting - Accounting Systems Plus 1 other business unit: - Product Promotion The course is aimed at those who wish to gain entry to higher education or to gain industry recognised qualification before entering in to full time employment.

There are strict deadlines for the completion of these throughout the academic year. Entry requirements

Students are expected to purchase a course textbook and a USB memory stick. There is also a trip fee of approximately £35. Students aged 19 or over on Ist September will pay an Exam fee of approximately £140. All fees are payable enrolment. Students will be required to register as student members of the AAT. Please note that if you have been declared bankrupt, have (or had) agreements with your creditors, have been issued a County Court Judgement, have ever been found guilty of a civil offence or have any criminal convictions, this may have an impact on your admission of being a student member with AAT. Please contact AAT directly for more information. For further information please ask your interviewer at your appointment.
