You will cover basic hair and beauty techniques and experience working in a salon. It will give you an introduction to working with hairdressers and beauty therapists. You will also complete Functional Skills and Personal and Social Development. This course will offer you an opportunity to sample some hair and beauty units before making a definite career choice. The method of learning is through a mixture of theory and practical sessions. The units you will study include: - Basic Beauty Skills - Basic Hairdressing Skills - Functional Skills - Personal and Social Development After successful completion of this course you could progress to VRQ Level 2 in Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy. Students who have yet to decide between hairdressing or beauty therapy.
