This course is aimed at students who want to work within the animal care industry, working in kennels, catteries, animal shelters etc. Throughout this course you will develop your practical skills in animal care and build on the background knowledge you possess. The Level 2 Animal Care qualification includes units on feeding, promoting health, caring for animals, restraining and moving animals. Your dedicated tutor will provide one-to-one support, carry out observations, take photographs and you will also have the opportunity to complete work online. Students may find that this qualification helps them to progress in their present employment. They can also progress to the level 3 work based diploma provided that they meet the entry criteria and have successfully completed their level 2 workbased programme.
