Intermediate Apprenticeship in Hairdressing comprising of an NVQ Level 2 plus Functional Skills. NVQ Level Two is a work-based foundation training programme which operates throughout the United Kingdom. NVQ Level Two is the minimum level all young people entering hairdressing need to achieve. The main aim of NVQ Level Two is to provide a total foundation training programme which will help young people to become high quality hair designers in the shortest possible time and provide these young people with a recognised qualification gained entirely in the salon. Although fully incorporating the NVQ Level Two in Hairdressing, the Cheynes Training approach delivers a great deal more training content than other similar training programmes. The ‘extra' elements are geared specifically to the needs of top salons hence its popularity. These extra skills are designed to prepare young people for the day they become a hair designer and lead to the award on not one, but two national vocational qualifications, NVQ Level Two in Hairdressing and NVQ Level Two in Barbering!
