RWP Training offer Teaching Assistants Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships in Cumbria and East Lancashire. If you wish to become a teaching assistant or classroom assistant then the Teaching Assistants Apprenticeship could be for you! Open to anyone aged 16 and above who would like to work with teachers in classrooms supporting the learning process in primary, special and secondary schools. We offer a 12-month programme, which includes day release, fortnightly, in either our Carlisle or Workington training centre and structured on-the-job training provided by the employer. The qualification is appropriate for anyone aged 16 and above who has an interest in the sector and is seeking, or already has employment with a local employer. At the end of this qualification you will achieve a Lever 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning. You will also achieve Functional Skills Level 2 in English, Level 1 in Maths and ICT (where applicable).
