This BTEC qualification is highly recognised and respected nationally by employers and Higher Education alike. It is suitable for students who possess a keen desire to follow a career path in the creative industries and this will be at the heart of the subject. It offers opportunities for students to develop an array of skills that mirror professional practice in the Art and Design industry. It is a double art work based course option (2 blocks) offering general art and design and is suitable for students who have a real enthusiasm for studying art through coursework based units. Interested students will need to be of a creative and artistic nature with an enthusiasm for art and design in its many forms. Students gain work experience through live briefs locally, whilst gallery visits throughout the programme also provide exciting enrichment tasks nationally and abroad.
