Certificate and Professional Graduate Certificate in Education - post compulsory (DTLLS) Year 2 This 2 year "DTLLS" course is a requirement for teachers in a Full Teaching Role in the Learning and Skills Sector. This sector includes Further Education, Work Based Learning, Community Learning and Development, Higher Education and Libraries, Archives and Information Services. This is a part time course, validated by the University of Northampton. The course follows the professional standards for Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), developed by Lifelong Learning UK (LLUK). Year 2 is studied at Level 5 or 6. Topics studied on the course are: Advanced Professional Practice Critical Reflection for Practice in the Lifelong Learning Sector Individual Development Planning Delivery methods include group activities, discussions, presentations, seminars, workshops and tutorials. At the end of Year 2 you could undertake a Degree in Learning and Teaching or a Masters programme in Education. This course is for those in a Full Teacher Role in the Learning and Skills sector. The Full Teacher Role includes teaching a variety of groups, courses and levels and being responsible for student assessment and the planning, evaluation and development of programmes. You should have access to teaching of at least 75 hours during the course.
