Retail Operations Overview This qualification covers the many areas within retail and can be applied across a broad range of sectors and job roles. It will provide people with the skills and knowledge to assist customers on the sales floor, handling purchases and taking payments right the way through to visual merchandising or working in a specialist department where they can become a product expert, able to help with specific queries. Alternatively, their job role may be behind the scenes in stock handling; ensuring products are received in the correct quantities and appropriately stored. Available at both Level 2 and Level 3 Outcomes The Retail Operations Qualification will benefit your business by enabling learners to meet many objectives; listed below are just a few examples: •display products and maintain stock on sale at required levels •deal with customers, process payments and returned goods, and resolve customer service issues •follow guidelines for planning and preparing visual merchandising displays •organise the receipt and storage of goods in a retail environment •audit stock levels and stock inventories in a retail environment •understand and contribute to Health & Safety legislation •know how to process donated goods in a retail environment for selling or recycling •promote continuous improvement in customer service •listen to customers’ needs and provide information and advice to meet those needs This is just a very small example of the outcomes of completing this qualification.
