The qualification will give you the knowledge, understanding and competency needed when considering entering employment in the Health and Social Care sector. You will gain a grounding in the essential skills and fundamentals crucial to this area of study, giving you the opportunity to progress to level 3 or enter into your first job within this sector. It is a mandatory part of the programme to complete 60 hours in a Health, Care or Early Years provision, in order to achieve your full programme of study. As part of your main programme of study you will work towards a qualification in English, Maths or ICT where appropriate.
