This course may be delivered as a stand-alone NVQ or as part of an Apprenticeship programme. The qualification combines both skills and knowledge; candidates work towards mandatory units; health & safety in the salon, promote additional services & products, maintain effectiveness at work, provide facial skin care treatments, enhance the appearance of eyebrows and lashes, carry out waxing techniques, provide manicure and pedicure services. Additional optional units are selected to enhance the candidate’s skills and knowledge for example; carry out ear piercing, provide make up services, provide threading services.
