NVQ Certificate in Fenestration Surveying (QCF)

This qualification is aimed at window, door, conservatory and curtain wall or architectural aluminium site surveyor. This type of learner would be required normally to work from an office reporting to the installations manager. They would be expected to visit either commercial construction sites or domestic properties to measure items ready for production or to place orders. The surveyor is expected to deal directly with the customer and attend meetings with site agents. This type of qualification is usually aimed at someone with some prior experience of installation and in some cases manufacture of windows, doors etc. This qualification is only available at level 3 in conjunction with the high levels of skills required to collect and record the relevant data required for further manufacture and installation of the products. The surveyor must also have a good depth of knowledge of the different building regulations and codes of practice that installers and surveyors must follow to meet the relevant certification body requirements.
