As a Furniture and Interiors apprentice you will be following a comprehensive programme which offers training in a variety of skills in the furniture industry. This qualification could be Cabinet Making, Upholstery, Polishing or Cutting and Sewing. The tasks you may undertake will range between producing bespoke furniture and may include working on traditional or modern furniture items. Along with this you will learn design and development, create design prototypes, evaluate design prototypes and produce technical specifications of design prototypes. An opportunity to attend our Centre of Vocational Excellence in furniture manufacture will be incorporated into your training programme, as required, to further enhance your knowledge and skills. Each apprentice will have specialised tuition by our time served, qualified Training Officers. This will assist them to achieve the qualification within a set timescale.
