As a Furniture and Finishing apprentice you will be following a comprehensive programme which offers training in a variety of skills in the furniture industry. The tasks you may undertake will range between producing and preparing to apply finishing processes to production furniture, bespoke furniture and household furniture. You will learn various skill such as check the work piece and identify faults, apply the finish uniformly to the required build and depth of colour. An opportunity to attend our Centre of Vocational Excellence in furniture manufacture will be incorporated into your training programme, as required, to further enhance your knowledge and skills. Each apprentice will have specialised tuition by our time served, qualified Training Officers. This will assist them to achieve the qualification within a set timescale.
