BTEC FIRST DIPLOMA IN SPORT

This course aims to give students a basic insight and understanding into the sports and fitness industry, allowing them to further their knowledge both academically and also in a practical situation. The course is a one year programme that is intended to introduce students to the world of sport and fitness, to develop their skills and gain entry on to BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport at Booth Lane. This course is designed for people interested in sport who want to further their knowledge in both practical and academic aspects of sport. It will give students the necessary skills to pursue a career in sport or go onto a higher level course.

Entry requirements

Students have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities from the wide range of enrichment activities available. This includes possible entry to college football team. The costs below are approximate: Trips and Visits £21 Books £11 The above costs will be payable at enrolment. If you are aged 19 or over on 1st September you will pay an exam fee of approxiamtely £176 at enrolment. Students are expected to behave, be punctual and dress appropriately at all times.
