The student will develop skills and an in-depth understanding of health, including areas such as Applied Science, Human Anatomy and Physiology, Psychology, Communication Skills and Lifespan Development. This course is for students who wish to progress into Nursing, Midwifery, Podiatry, Occupational Therapy or Paramedic professions.

Entry requirements

Work experience: one day per week plus two block weeks per year eg. Day centres, nursing homes, special schools and clinics. Performance in placement acts as evidence for vocational practice (nb. for health and safety reasons, visible body piercing must be removed or covered in placement, except for a stud earring). You will need to gain clearance from the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB). Overseas students please contact the Enrolment Centre on 0845 300 4401. If you are over nineteen you will be required to pay Exam Board Registration Fees (£185 approximately and payable at enrolment). College polo shirt - £14 approximately Textbooks - £40 approximately Stationery - £20 approximately CRB check - £44 approximately The CRB amount is payable during your induction week when you sit an online assessment.
