A BTEC First Diploma is a practical based, work related course. It covers the basic knowledge and technical practical skills, providing a good foundation for future career or progression to a more advanced work related course or technician qualification. A BTEC First qualification is equivalent to four GCSE's grades A* - E and is taken as a full-time course. The course is aimed at those who wish to either gain entry to higher education or those who wish to develop their practical and theoretical skills to enable them to work in industry.
