This course covers a range of business activities that include the Business Enviroment, Resources, Marketing, Management and Business Communication, alongside a range of other specialist units. The Certificate is made up of 3 core units and yields between 20 and 70 UCAS points depending on the overall grade achieved. The Subsidiary Diploma is made up of 6 units and yields between 40 and 140 UCAS points depending on the overall grade achieved. The Diploma is made up of twelve units and yields between 80 and 280 UCAS points depending on the overall grade achieved. The Extended Diploma is made up of 18 units and yields between 120 and 420 UCAS points depending on the overall grade achieved. This course is aimed at those who wish to gain entry to higher education or for those wishing to gain an industry recognised qualification before going into full time employment.

Name: BTEC LEVEL 3 EXTENDED DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS Qualification title: BTEC Diploma in Business (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment A process of continuous assessment involving unit assignments (normally three or four per unit). There are strict deadlines for the completion of these throughout the academic year. Assignments will be assessed in a variety of ways to include, presentations, role play, simulations and observations, time constrained (test) scenarios, although there is a bias towards considerable written essays, reports and magazine article style submissions. Entry requirements

Students are expected to purchase a course text book and a USB Memory Stick. All Students will need to pay a £37 trip fee at enrolment. Students aged 19 or over will also need to pay an approximate exam fee of £185 at enrolment.
