The College offers a one-year course covering Level Three Dimploma in Accounting from September to June. The course operates in college over three and a half days per week between the hours of 9am and 5pm. The other two days are designated for private study. The Association of Accounting Technicians is the world's leading professional membership body for accounting technicians, with over 120,000 members worldwide. Because the AAT Accounting qualification is based around what you would actually do in a working situation, the course is about raising and testing your practical ability, not just your memory. In return, you will gain a thorough understanding of practice, not just theory, which will increase your value in the workplace. Completing the course will also develop your confidence, your understanding of IT and your personal effectiveness. Anybody aged sixteen or over who has an interest in finance and has an existing accounting qualification or accounting work experience. It is also available for students aged 19 or over.

The course is held on site at Lower Mounts, and operates over three days per week for thirty two weeks. There is no requirement to pre-purchase any materials or books. All necessary materials will be provided during the course and an optional book will be recommended. Students will be required to register as student members of the AAT. Please note that if you have been declared bankrupt, have (or had) agreements with your creditors, have been issued a County Court Judgement, have been found guilty of a civil offence, or have any criminal convictions, this may have an impact on your admission of student member with AAT. Please contact AAT directly for more information. If you are aged 19 or over on 1st September you will pay an approximate exam fee of £400 at enrolment.
