If you are interested in the internet, interactive media, television, film, newspapers and magazines this course is a starting point in considering a career in these fast developing media industries. Through practical projects, you will experiment with a range of media and techniques, developing, for example, digital images, graphics, web pages, films, animations and audio products. The course encourages creativity whilst focusing on the development of practical skills and teaches you how to express ideas. The work produced on the course will be essential if you intend to apply to a Level 2 Media or Art and Design qualification, either at Stafford College or any other college. However, the course also develops a range of transferable skills, for example, how to plan and generate ideas, problem solve, manage your time and evaluate your work. These are essential skills when progressing to any Level 2 course. The units that you will cover on this Creative Media Production course are: 1. Exploring Digital Photography 2. Developing Video Products 3. Developing Multimedia Products 4. Developing Animation At the end of the course, you will have the opportunity to exhibit in the annual art and design show. English & Maths We are committed to helping students improve their skills in English and Maths. Students on a full-time course at College who missed out on GCSE qualifications at grades A-C in these subjects at school will attend additional classes and receive support to enhance their grades. Depending on individual ability, students will work towards GCSE, City & Guilds or Functional Skills awards to ensure that they have the qualifications needed to progress to university or employment.
