The Apprenticeship in Adult Care is recruited externally through Doncaster Council's job site. The Apprenticeship puts learners in Children Centre's throughout the Borough to gain work experience but also gain a qualification in Adult Care at Level 2. Doncaster Council's Accreditted Learning Team tries to ensure learners are placed as close to their homes as possible. Establishments are scattered around the borough and require learners to work shifts. This is all discussed as a part of the initial assessment process. Apprentices complete the full framework of qualifications required to complete their Apprenticeship. This includes qualfications in Maths, English and ICT aswell as a Technical Certficate exam of underpinning knowledge that supports the qualification.
