Name: BTEC DIPLOMA IN ENGINEERING LEVEL 2 Qualification title: BTEC Diploma in Engineering (QCF) Qualification type: Assessment The equivalent of about three/four days a week is spent on the course. The College day is usually from 9am until 4.30pm. There is an applied programme of practical and theory designed to meet your learning styles, directed private study, laboratory practical work, and industrial visits. In addition to technical subjects, personal and interpersonal skills are developed and assessed as an integral part of the course as well as the three Functional Skills, ICT, Maths and English. Continuous assessment of performance is carried out by means of tests, class and laboratory work and practical assignment workshops. All modules are formally assessed and final grades are subject to moderation by the course team and a representative from BTEC.
