Barbering Apprenticeship learners are required to work in a unisex salon/barbers for a minimum of 30 hours a week and will attend college once bi-weekly (fortnightly) for 12-18 months. This professional standard is delivered by professional barbers with extensive experience in the industry who will deliver both theory and practical training at college to compliment your learning in the workplace. Learners will learn all elements in Barbering including: Consultation Shampoo, condition and treat the hair and scalp Cutting hair using barbering techniques to create a variety of looks Style and finish men’s hair Cut facial hair into shape Shaving services During this course you may need to complete Functional Skills in Maths and English if you do not have GCSE grades C and above. At the end of the course the learners will receive a Professional Standard Level 2 Diploma in Barbering certificate At the end of this course learners will have the opportunity to progress onto a Professional Standard in Hairdressing and gain skills in women's hairdressing.
