For a career in the caring industry in jobs such as nursing, social work and residential care then these full-time courses give you the knowledge and the practical weekly work placement to help you achieve this. Units studied are intended to give high-level, broad-based knowledge to assist students to access a chosen career in the health care or social care field such as: interaction, social and psychological aspects of care, access and equal opportunities, clients’ rights, and physical aspects of health. Functional Skills form part of this qualification and will be assessed at the relevant levels. Every full-time course will include a real experience of work. Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
