The Level 2 Diploma in Hair and Media Make-Up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to enable you to learn both aspects of hairdressing and media make-up. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in both hairdressing and media make-up to a high level of occupational ability for a career as a make up artist. Units studied include: The art of dressing hair, the art of photographic make-up, applying make-up, providing effective client care, following Health & Safety practice in the salon, colouring hair using temporary and semi colours, creating an image based on a theme, client consultation for hair services, body art design, shampooing and conditioning the hair and scalp. Every full-time course will include a real experience of work. Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
