Learn the skills for fabrication and welding, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering in our superb new workshops where your will receive the very best in training. This comprehensive programme is recognised by industry as the first step towards a career in engineering. Students will be equipped with a breadth of knowledge and practical competence covering all aspects of engineering, such as mechanical, pipework, electrical, fabrication and welding. The programme is made up of EAL Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Performing Engineering Operations, which includes practical tasks, technical knowledge and a portfolio of evidence. The programme also contains options leading to the following Level 3 qualifications: Technical Certificate in Engineering, or National Certificate in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Every full-time course will include a real experience of work. Maths and English form part of this course and will be assessed at the relevant levels.
