You must be employed in a full-time Team Leader position. Your personal Training Advisor will visit you at least once a month in your workplace or you can choose to complete this on-line via e-portfolio. This qualification is ideal for new team leaders who want to develop as leaders and managers – show you have the skills to manage resources, motivate your team and get the results you need. There are three mandatory units which focus on:- Managing personal development; Developing working relationships with colleagues; Communicating information and knowledge and a choice of either; Set objectives and provide support for team members or Plan, allocate and monitor work of a team. You then select one other unit of your choice from nine optional units. There is also a Technical Certificate Examination and Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT at Level 1 to complete (but you may have exemptions).
