This framework is designed to meet the skills needs of employers of all sizes across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. It will attract new talent into Sales & Telesales and will help to up skill the workforce to meet employer skills priorities. Intermediate apprentices will work in job roles such as trainee sales advisors, sales consultants or sales executives. Advanced apprentices will work in job roles such as sales/telesales team leaders, sales/telesales supervisors or customer relationship managers. The apprenticeship is made up of mandatory units which cover the essential skills required for working in a sales environment, such as understanding the sales environment, negotiating, handling objections and closing sales and complying with legal, regulatory and ethical requirements. There are then a variety of optional units to choose from which focus on the specific tasks you carry out within your role which could include: • Analysing sales and competitor information • Buyer behaviour • Sales presentations • Assessing credit status and obtaining finance for customers • Sales planning and performance management • Sales proposals • Building and retaining sales relationships • Personal networking • Principles of online selling • Competitor analysis
