Learners work towards attaining a City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Diploma in hairdressing by undertaking mandatory and optional units. These consists of theory and practical tuition with assessments being undertaken in both the training academy and industry. Knowledge is tested via City & Guilds online testing system. Functional Skills in Maths and English at Level 2 are also undertaken enabling the learner to achieve a full framework qualification. Learners will, as part of their course, have the opportunity to take part in a photoshoot working with a professional photographer which will enable them to showcase their skills. There is a separate cost for this which is notified to the apprentices as part of the event planning process.
