The role and impact of sport science in sport has seen a revolutionary development over the last decade. There is an increasing awareness of the importance of scientific principles and enquiry in attaining optimum sport performance. Wakefield College has a long tradition of academic provision in Sport Science which is continually developing. Despite its status and significance within sport, sport science is still an emerging field that provides challenging and rewarding career progressions. The course not only serves as a route to full time employment within sports related fields, it is also a proven progression route to Higher Education.
