This NVQ is a work-based qualification that assessed the skills and knowledge that people in your job need to perform their job role effectively. This motor industry qualification covers activities that relate to body repairers working on a wide range of vehicles in all types of garages, dealerships and specialist body repair shops. Successful candidates will demonstrate a broad working knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace and other skills associated with working in a garage. The qualification includes the following areas: - Removing and fitting non welded non-structural body panels. Removing, repairing and replacing non-structural body panels. If undertaken as an NVQ only (such as through Train to Gain) then the approximate duration is 12 months. If undertaken as part of an apprenticeship the approximate duration is 21 months.
