The NVQ Level 3 in Hairdressing is a more advanced hairdressing course and would be the natural progression route from an NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing. The course can last from 12 months to 2 years and is work-based learning. The learner will be required to attend the training centre 1 day per month. Learners must be employed in a salon between 16 and 35 hours a week and must be paid the current minimum wage rate for an apprentice is £2.68 per hour. This rate applies to apprentices aged 16 to 18 and those aged 19 or over who are in their first year. Any potential learner not employed in a salon can get help from our recruitment team to find employment.
